What Grade 6 student doesn't love an escape challenge? The Escape House event involves your Grade 6 students demonstrating their critical thinking and problem solving skills as together each House team escapes the classroom to find the missing House Spirit trophy! Together they will discover clues, solve puzzles and complete tasks in a limited amount of time. Students will be encouraged to approach this challenge using inquiring minds, rationale, logic and methodical thinking. This House event relies upon student collaboration, cooperation and coordination. The House with the strongest team will escape from their House first. Who's up for the challenge?

  • What age group does this activity best suit?

    Ideally the Escape House event is catered for your senior primary students, aged 10-12 years old.

  • What is the purpose of this House event?

    The Escape House event is a fun, team building, yet highly competitive activity for your senior students to exit their primary years with .. or shall we say ... Escape!

  • How long does this House event run for?

    The Escape House event runs for approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on the number of students participating. Please note that the less number of students participating, the longer the game will take.

  • What needs to be done to set up the event and who is responsible for setting it up?

    Ideally the grade 6 teachers will download and print all resources and clues provided in the Escape House event kit. They then follow a guide with how to place these around the classroom. There will need to be a classroom set up for each House team to play in.

  • Does my school need to supply any materials for this House event?

    99% of the game resources are included in the Escape House event kit. However, you will be required to supply some items that cannot be downloaded but are easily sourced within any primary school (such as water, a glass, stapler, calculator, etc).
